AAF-CC Announces Totally RAD 2013 Bowl-A-Rama Benefitting Goodwill Industries of South Texas

80s themed tournament scheduled for June 29 includes costume contest, radical raffle and $600 cash prize for team with highest score

Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, the “real” MTV, big hair (and it’s not just the girls), big shoulder pads, leggings, leather … the list goes on as the American Advertising Federation-Corpus Christi chapter holds a "totally rad" 1980s themed bowling tournament, the 2013 AAF-CC Bowl-A-Rama, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, at the AMF Saratoga Lanes.

This year’s Bowl-A-Rama will benefit Goodwill Industries of South Texas with a portion of the proceeds going to the nonprofit organization.

Teams are up to six bowlers per team with registration fee including lane and shoe rental. Cost is $35 for individual tickets (we’ll place you on a team) and $180 for Freeze Framer Bowlers ($30 will be returned for teams that donate a box or bag of gently used clothing for Goodwill).

Sponsor level teams include:

• Kingpins for $1,000, which includes two teams of six players, 12 awesomely 80s-themed custom-designed tee shirts with team logo, two pitchers of beer, two pizzas, banner placement at event, logo placement on all promotional materials and table tents, and promotional items placed in take-home swag bags.

• Strikers for $500, which includes one team of six players, one pitcher of beer, one pizza, banner placement at event, logo placement on all promotional materials, and promotional items placed in take-home swag bags.

The highest scoring team will win an awesome $600 cash prize!

The event also includes a costume contest for all you Cindy Lauper or Madonna look-alikes or big hair heavy metal band member wannabes, along with a totally “RAD” raffle for $5 per ticket.
