AAF-CC July 17 Meeting Featuring Award-winning Writer, Creative Director and Humorist Julie Bowman
Two-time Kelly winner and finalist of ADWEEK’s Print Campaign of the Decade sharing secrets to award-winning humorous campaigns
Her
experience includes accounts like Tabasco, Old Navy, Susan G. Komen, the National
Hockey League All-Stars, Jagermeister, McDonalds, Pepsi and others. She’s also
worked for high-powered advertising agencies such as Crispin, Porter + Bogusky,
DDB, BBDO and Sally Hogshead Media. And, she now has her own freelance
collective called Giant Noodle.
During the American
Advertising Federation-Corpus Christi Chapter’s (AAF-CC) monthly meeting on
Tuesday, July 17, Dallas-based Julie Bowman will share her advertising
expertise during “When Funny Wins: The Secrets of Award-winning Humor.”
A
two-time Kelly winner and 2007 Communication Arts Judge, Bowman was also one of
last year’s
Big Ad Gig winners and a finalist in 2009 for ADWEEK’s Print Campaign of the Decade. She’s performed standup and
improv, and her work has been featured in Cannes Lion, Communication Arts, the
Clios, Lurzer’s Archive, the Radio Mercury Awards, the Athenas, the NY
Festivals and more.

from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Corpus Christi Town Club at One Shoreline
Plaza (800 N. Shoreline Blvd.). Lunch is free for AAF-CC members, $25 for
