January 2012 Meeting

Is the Mayan Calendar Right?

Local Economic Leaders Sharing Predictions of Area’s Future During AAF-CC’s January Meeting

2012 is here! The countdown has begun if you believe the Mayan Calendar has any influence on the future! But, what can Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend expect as we move forward … to economic prosperity, that is!

During the American Advertising Federation-Corpus Christi Chapter’s first meeting of the New Year, you can hear community leaders provide their latest “predictions” about where their organizations and our area’s economy are headed. And, how you can take advantage of those opportunities.

Three panelists–– including Foster Edwards, CEO and President of the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce; Roland C. Mower, CEO and President of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation; and Michelle Horine, Vice President of Leisure and Nature Travel with the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau––will clue you in to their fact-filled forecasts for this next year.

PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE: AAF-CC’s next meeting is scheduled Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Silverado Smokehouse located at 4522 Weber (near Gollihar). The meeting, including lunch, is free for AAF-CC members, $20 for nonmembers and $15 for students.

Reservations are required by noon on Monday, Jan. 9, with payment due at the door on Jan. 10. To reserve your seat, RSVP to AAF-CC President Kristin Bell at kbell@txstateaq.org.
